We had an exciting home opener with Emmanuel.  At the end of the first half the score was 6-1 with Fresta on top.  During the second half several of our guys off the bench were able to find the back of the net. Seniors Ryan Finn and  Marcus Chapman and Sophomores Nathaniel Witt and Ricky Grabich scored their first goals as varsity soccer players.

Our attack was led by three veteran soccer players.  Junior Michael Stanley had a hat trick, junior Dominic Powers knocked in two goals and senior captain Brett Sumrall punched a penalty kick in for us.

Our goalie first half was Junior Sam Clinard and then Sophomore Ricky Grabich took over in the second half.  Of the two goals that Emmanuel scored one of them was from a corner kick and the other was off a handball foul that gave them a penalty kick.

Overall Coach Worsham was pleased with the performance of the guys.  Assistant Coach Sam Beals said, "This game has allowed us to see where we need to make some changes and adjustments with regard to our lineup."
