FVCS Middle School Boys soccer closed its second week of play with a home win against St. Joe's from Martinsburg, WV.  Ian Sumrall got things going early for the Pioneers, who improve to 5-1 on the season.  The 8-0 win is the fourth clean sheet for keepers John Finn and Jansen Beals.  In the six games played, FVCS has scored 44 times and only conceded 5 goals.  Will Lunsford, Bryan Pattern, Parker Freeman, Ezra Lash, Ben Sexton and Jansen Beals all scored and Ian netter his second of the game mid way through the second half.

The team wants to thank Mrs. Beals for organizing the team dinner and all the parents who chipped in to provide the food.

"I like the times we can spend some fellowship time," said coach Sumrall.  "These will be great memories for these guys.  In addition to learning about and playing the games, I want them to have a lot of fun. Hopefully a night like tonight helps that a little," he concluded.
